You may be framiliar with the term "chatspeak" or "txtspk". If you don't, it's okay. Chatspeak is a type of language people use to express themselves or abbreviate certain words. However, not used in the right context may ruin your chances of getting a date. "lol" means "laugh out loud" but it can also be abbreviated for "lots of love". This is only one example of how it may mess the conversation up. It's okay to use smileys, happy faces and exclamation points. Express yourself as if you're using an instant messaging service. If people don't see that, they will not know how you feel. They may also think you're a lame and boring texter with no emotion. LOL. |
