Text messages take awhile to process sometimes. Keep your partner interested by texting them short messages that are short and to the point. Maybe 1 or 2 sentences at most. Your partner may get distracted if he or she is waiting and waiting to hear back from you. After that, their mood has probably changed and you're not looking to appealing by the time they get the text.
